Taking a Breather

I love the holiday season
but I have learned
that you need to pace yourself.
There are times, when you need
to take yourself out of the picture
and escape...if only for an hour.

Today I travelled to Italy,
just me, my latte and a cookbook.
It all happened in our local cafe
and we had a great time.

It was just the ticket to get me going again.

Manilli de Sea
(Silk handkerchief pasta sheets with Pesto)
How yummy does that sound?

I travelled thru Italy,
found a great recipe for dinner
and was raring to go again.

Next time you are out and about
and feeling like
you need a breather,
join me!

You won't regret it :)

  4. I thought the same thing that Jane thought!
Italy does seem like a wonderful breather...even if it is just a gastronamic getaway :)

  5. Morning - I am really trying to pace myself with this season - no matter how many years of choir/nativity/school/gift-buying/preparing/wrapping, it still gets completely crazy. I like the idea of a few moments away though... Lou x

  6. Looks like a marvelous idea!! I need that today too. My husband is going into the hospital for a few days...it'd be the perfect thing to take along and escape. I'll remember to do that with another book...thanks for the tip!

  7. Oh I have that book and I fell in love with the handkerchief pasta as well - so I made them. They're great!

I often do some armchair travelling myself- it's so relaxing - no waiting in airports:-)
