Kissed With Colour in Lacock

It was a day kissed with colour in the little village
of Lacock outside of Bath, England.

I have Cherry Pie @ Cherie's Place to thank for
this wonderful suggestion to visit Lacock.

We were greeted by the Lacock Village Fair upon arrival.
A nice little surprise to end our three day weekend to Bath.

It was a grand day out.
The streets were buzzing, children wore grins from ear to ear
and laughter could be heard from one side of the High Street to another.

Home now... organizing and filing,
deciding what will come next....

One more week left of school holidays.
Did I mention that I now have a grin from ear to ear??

How about you?
What did you get up to over the weekend?

More in Bath, England...

  2. Dear Jeanne:

What resplendent colours and sights. Did you buy anything out there? I'm sure you would have. The pictures send out happy happy feelings and that is vibrated in your post as well :)

    Joy always,
    Susan

  3. The fair looks like fun, the jam looks yummy!

I gardened, and sore today, but got a lot done as you might know I am back to work in the school soon!
(not as big a grin as yours)

Glad that you had a fun weekend.

  5. I am sure you had a wonderful weekend in my closest 'home' City of Bath... So sorry that I did not come up with any ideas of places to visit earlier Jeanne but I KNOW that Susie's suggestions would have been amazing ... Love seeing the photographs of Lacock - another little gem of a place too. Looking forward to your photographs of Bath later on - I am sure that there will be some stunners! x

  6. Thank you for the link :-)

I am so glad you enjoyed the village. Wow!!! what can I say about your fantastic photos!

On my first visit there the rain started full pelt as soon as I arrived, so I made a mad dash for Lacock Abbey. Then there was an enormous thunderstorm which made the inside doors shut in an eerie way.

The next time I visited the weather was perfect and I got to explore the village, but I did have a bit of an accident outside the Abbey...

But I do love that village :-)

  7. Beautiful color. We didn't make it to Lacock on our visit to Britain. I've been at the International Food Blogger Conference in Seattle, but distracted by all the boots I see. Maybe a third blog devoted to footwear in my future. Or maybe a new subtitle-Reinvention at midlife and shoes.

  10. Hi Jeanne, I'm really pleased that you liked Bath and its environs so much. Of all the places that I lived in the UK, it was my favourite and one of the cities I'd like to settle in again one day. Your photos are resplendent!

  12. The beautiful photo of the jam reminds me of our many summers in Scotland. We brought students over and always spent the first two weeks working in churches.

The bulletin board always had a list of yummy things you could order from the women of the church. I ordered many jars of jam just like your photo. That and toast made from my daily visit to the bakery . . . oh my.

It was a good thing we did so much walking.

Glad you enjoyed another beautiful spot.

    Fondly,
    Glenda
