Enchanted April
All these flowers reminds me
of one of my favourite scenes in the movie,
Enchanted April.
She wakes up in the morning, opens the window shutters
and it is a scene like no other....
If you have not seen this movie and you like period movies,
Happy I saw this at its theater release. It FELT like a vacation watching it.
ReplyDeleteEven on the TV screen it feels like a vacation.

I love "Enchanted April" and the moment you mention where she opens the door and steps out and feel Italy. And the actors are marvellous - I like especially Joan Plowright. But the whole film is wonderful.

It is one of my favorite movies, and one I see over and over again.
ReplyDeleteI have seen this movie many times and watch it any time it comes on the TV...love the clothing and that home...breathtaking...it has a serenity and richness...lovely cinematography!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, my favourite scene as well. I also like the one where Lottie asked the Joan Plowright character if she knew Keats.
ReplyDeleteHi Jeanne
ReplyDeleteThis one has been on my list for a while.. I must remember to get it out.... a new tv could help too!!
Have a great day.. xxx Julie
I have to admit that I always meant to see this and twice it was not available-so I think this weekend! We have a movie gallery going out of business nearby and all of the movies are $5.00...ohhhh dear! Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteI've heard this is a good movie but didn't know why. Thanks for a happy review about a movie that now intrigues.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this movie.

This is one of my favourite movies of all time. Whenever my hubs and I get into a bit of a pickle whilst travelling, we always turn to ech other and say "we're in Gods hands now Lottie"!
