A Cozy Nook and a Happy Weekend!

This is suppose to be a post of another colour and topic
but this is all I can manage for the moment.
My days seem to be filled with form after form for our
impending move to Vietnam mid-year.
More on that later....

For now, I would like to wish all my readers
and especially those of you who are new to the fold
a very comfortable and cozy weekend,
doing something you love.

For me...it would be head first into this nook...
into pillow camouflage mode..
not a sound but the rustle of a page or two.
My mission... not to let anyone find me,
at least for an hour or two.

Hope you have an absolutely wonderful weekend!!
Jeanne xx

  2. A sweet wish. In my case, they would find me, but they generally will allow me a half hour in my cozy corner.

  4. I'm working on my very own nook at the moment...though not as wintery as this gorgeous one! Good luck with all the administration. That must be the worst part about moving.

  7. Jeanne,

This nook looks perfect for a long read and a cup of tea. I do hope that you manage to find 10 minutes away from your forms if only to revive yourself.

I am sorry to have been missing from your blog this week, I have been sick and in bed.

Happy New Year my friend! Happy Weekend!

  8. Precisely my plans for the weekend. A trip to the market in the morning for the ingredients for boeuf bourguignon, then home to books and fireplace.

  10. Oh, Jeanne. I'd give anything for a nook. Or a book. Alone. No pixies. *Sigh*. Enjoy! J x

  13. I wouldn't need to be asked twice to clamber amongst that delicious pile of pillows with a good book! Just what is called for...a wonderful weekend of nothing!
Weather here is unseasonably warm this weekend, so I am feeling compelled make use of this gift and do something outside instead. Happy weekend Jeanne.

  14. Vietnam? Actually, I'm a bit jealous. Have visited twice and would love to spend a year or two there. Such a deep culture, much to learn. The people are exceedingly nice and polite. The food's delicious! I drank the water in hotels but that's a no-no on the street. The sweetest pineapple in the world is in a province near Hue. *drooling at the thought* The traffic's a mess but, don't panic - there's a method to it that's quite easy to navigate, worry not! And there are some gorgeous homes there. Ohhhh, what an exciting move.

  22. I would love to curl up there with a mug of hot tea and do nothing for an afternoon. Vietnam !? I've not been following close enough. 2012 seems to be a year of change for many. Best of luck, and will follow more closely to find out more! David.
