Before and after Tahilla Farm and a postcard update
Tahilla Farm 2019 |
Happy March!
As you can see from the photo above and below, we still have snow and if the forecast holds true tonight, we will have a bit more. I like to get out in the fields every now and again to photograph the property through the seasons and years. I often think it would be nice to replicate our little fiefdom on the hill in a snow globe. It would come in handy during long hot summer days when I curse those New Hampshirite's who said we would not need air conditioning...because "it never gets that hot in New Hampshire." I beg to differ...maybe the snow globe will help. ;)
The winter months give me a chance to study the lines of the property...from the old house to the new and beyond. I know every line, from beginning to end, by heart, and it still takes my breath away.
It reminds me of a postcard I wrote this morning, with reference to Alice in Wonderland. I often ask this of myself too...
Have I gone mad?
I'm afraid so...
You're entirely bonkers.
But I will tell you a secret...
All the best people are!

We've come a long way...
So...
here I stand on a winter's day,
passing the porch where Buddha hangs out waiting
for signs of spring.
"Spring...are we there yet? |
and where I sit to write postcards to you...
which I am absolutely loving!
It has been a wonderful creative exercise!
Thank you to one and all who have requested one, if you
haven't yet but would like to receive one, you can write to me
I have lots more to share....
it's been a bit of March madness around here.
Stacks of books, postcards and two online courses.
Coming up in the next post.
Bonkers?
Absolutely!!
Happy Days my friends!!
Jeanne xx
