Vintage Postcards

When we moved to the London area I vowed to try and get into the city at least once a week.

Yesterday I planned a visit to The Photographer's Gallery on Ramillies St.
I read that it was the largest public gallery in London dedicated to photography.
Being a girl that can not resist a photo, I decided it was the place for me.

After a wander, I proceeded to the Gallery Bookshop.
My favourite part of any excursion.

I can never resist postcards and added these few to my collection.

How gorgeous is Angelica Huston in the one above?
Herb Ritts was the photographer.
A beautiful image.

The rest of the cards follow the storyline of my day.

After visiting the Gallery, I felt the need for
a little time out and stopped into a cafe for lunch.

I like to relax, write,
and watch the crowd pass by.

As you can see below,
I am still thinking about Mrs. Greville :)

and the man in the white suit below.

The photo above was taken by Jacques-Henri Lartique.
I wonder what ever happened to the notion of using parasols in summer?

With that I moved on, weaving in and out of one shop after another.
Wondering when I would eventually find the perfect summer shoes.
If only it was as easy for me as the ladies below..

I love that some things never change and am secretly thinking that
these cat eye glasses just might be the thing for me.
Maybe as a pair of reading glasses:)

All thoughts now focused on the weekend!
Finally :)

Wishing you a wonderful one!

Jeanne

Your day would have left you richer and lovelier.
