A Spontaneous Thought

What I want to know....
is it too soon to be thinking about summer?

On this cold January winter night
of  0 Celsius (32F)?

Once again.... Doris has the right idea :)

Who is ready for a little fun in the sun?

  1. If it is too soon, I am definitely breaking the rules.

Dreaming of summer from the cold wet Pacific Northwest,

  4. listen, I am about to paint a big yellow sun on my window and put a spot light behind it and throw a towel on my hardwood floors and pop in a cd in of seagulls and water lapping and pretend I am at the beach. Aww yes, summer dreaming is good!

  5. Dear Jeanne,
I know that the last five comments have agreed with you, but I'm not !!!!
I actually love all of the seasons and don't really yearn for the next one until it is upon me. Perhaps it's 'cos I'm older and I don't want to wish the rest of my life away !!!! haha.....whatever it is, I am actually enjoying the winter and wearing my boots and coats. It's probably the Antipodean in you that yearns for the sunshine. Being English I'm used to experiencing grey weather, whatever time of year it is !! XXXX

  6. Ladies...thank you, thank you, nice to see I am not crazy! I seem to need constant reassurance these days :)

Tracy...you are too funny! Have fun with those seagulls!

Jackie...I see your point and agree, it is the Antipodean in me that yearns for sunshine. I am still adjusting to hemispheres :)

It may also be that my daughter Christine returns to New Zealand tomorrow to start her second year of University. She has been home for the past two months.
Now that she is leaving I am wishing I could pack myself in her suitcase! Major tissue activity in this house at the moment :(

  8. I just wrote a post "50 things to do this winter (while we await spring.) I'm thinking about spring . . . summer feels too far off for me :). Of course, I am enjoying a real winter, since our move to Chicago.

    Enjoy dreaming of summer, Jeanne.

    Fondly,
    Glenda

  9. Way too soon to be thinking about Summer, only because it means that we will be getting cooler weather down here in NZ.

Human nature Jeanne, wanting what we don't have!

  11. Not too early. The thoughts of warmer sunny days keep us going through the winter. I posted about some gorgeous summer clothes yesterday anyhow so I'm already with you.

  12. I can only think of spring today as hundreds of snowdrops are popping through the grass and gardens. Soon my yard will be filled with them!
