Please Sir.....
I can't tell you how excited I was to see a package in the mail yesterday.
I broke my camera lens a few weeks ago and my life has not been the same since.
I had to ship it to Glasgow, Scotland and from there I had several dialogues
with a friendly gentleman over the demise of my lens.
It was a finger biting experience, let me tell you.
Alas...'it could be repaired... at a cost'. Hmm..
Desperation prevailed...please sir, please fix my lens.
My camera lens is as comfortable to me as my favouite pair of shoes.
When the lens broke I was was crushed. There were some benefits though,
my life went wide angle and I did enjoy that.
But still, nothing can compare to the intimacy of my zoom lens.
I heart this lens. (Canon 18-200mm)
As soon as I opened the box yesterday I did a little test run.
The top photo is on the outside looking in to my 'blogging' desk.
The rest were taken on a rainy day in our backyard.
My life is complete once again :)
Best wishes for a wonderful week ahead...I hope
you experience something extraordinary.
To get you started,
a scene from one of my all time favourite English movies.
Another take on looking at the world ;)
PS..
If, like me, you have an attachment to your camera.
check this out....loved this too!

I have a little Sony digital which travels everywhere with me. I would be lost without it so I can imagine how it was for you Jeanne. The pictures are stunning!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it marvelous that the experts were able to repair your lens...nice to see that you are back in action.
ReplyDeleteI saw Saving Grace years ago and I must view it again this clip has put a happy smile on my face...hmm and I think I am out of corn flakes!
Thanks, Jeanne.
So pleased you have your fav. lens back and looks as if it is as good as new! x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, Jeanne. When I lost my iPhone I cried for two days over the photos taken with it that I hadn't downloaded on to my computer.
ReplyDeletePhew - glad to read you have your lens back and up and running. I can only imagine your distress. I would be lost without my camera. I am currently saving up for a new lens - it's taking a while - those children of mine keep needing things, you know, shoes, clothes and stuff. Hhrmm.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures (as always) happy shooting with your reunited love.

I thought I had broken my camera yesterday beyond repair {it's not anything extravagant} and once looking at the manual, made the adjustment and was fine. But for about 5 minutes I felt hopeless and lost!
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy all is well now and your pictures are perfect!!
Happy Sunday!
XO,
Jane

They are just wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious YouTube bit!!! I love my little automatic camera because it's simple...for simple me. :) Couldn't live without it.

Oh yes Jeanne...without having the best "part" of the camera, life isn`t the same...do you think that more and more people discovered this kind of hobby new? That people taking more photos than in earlier times?
ReplyDeleteWell, I must admit, taking picures was never so easy than nowadays and this in high quality...so this might be a reason! :)
I was laughing tears about your *you tube* scene...I think I saw this movie but I am not sure....lovely, lovely, lovely Jeanne! :))
Beautiful shots, lovely to see you have your lens back :)

I'm lost without mine too! I'm so happy for you that you have it back! Great photos Jeanne!

ReplyDeleteSharon
I see I am not the only one who is attached to her camera! That is great news :)
ReplyDeleteFor Donna's questions about my camera settings...
Donna, I shoot mostly in auto-mode. I would love to be released from that need but it is always a safe fall back :)
About the movie clip...
Saving Grace is one of those movies that never fails to have me in hysterics. I love all the cast...they play it so well and Brenda Blethyn is superb. I always laugh thru the store scene with many more like that to follow. Better yet, Brenda's character has moxie and I love that in a person. If you manage to watch it, wait for the evening sunglass scene, it is brilliant!
Just found your blog. Glad you now have your lens. Great pictures.
ReplyDeleteI love that birdbath.
