This picture is adorable ! And do we not all have something like this in our memories ? I surely have - wearing my Mum's pink Eyelet-lace dress and some 150's high heels and tons of necklaces and a hat and and and... and so was my daughter. I think this is the ultra-feminine urge to embellish, whatever :-) kind regards with fond memories thanks to your post here, Martina
When my daughter was about this age my husband's grandmother passed away and I was given an armload of her dresses, purses, hats and shoes which I put in a pretend box for my daughter. I wish I had taken more pictures because there is nothing sweeter than a little girl playing dress-up.
So cute, Jeanne! And don't you love the photography in La Vie Claire? It is one of my must have magazines just for the photos. Have a wonderful weekend! Best, Stephanie
Oh Jeanne, That is the most wonderful image. I can remember doing it (many years ago !!), I can remember our daughter doing it....I wonder why we feel compelled to dress up in our Mum's clothes ? 'Cos it's fun, I guess !!!! Have a lovely Sunday, Jeanne. XXXX
Oh how cute. Looks like something Claire has done. I have a picture of me when I was 4 with a ton of bangles and beads on, I knew I would have a daughter that would make me proud!
Hi Jeanne How sweet she looks.. and what gorgeous colours she has wrapped herself in... maybe that is why adults like fancy dress so much.. a chance to really indulge in colour and escapism... Did you notice the lady wrapped in cashmere thinks she is adorable too!!! have a great weekend... xxx Julie
Can I just say....that I so enjoy what YOU have to say. If you would like to write to me directly, I would love to hear from you... jeannecollageoflife@gmail.com
